My husband’s work Christmas luncheon is usually pretty casual, so I wore this little outfit. It’s hard to tell it in these photos, but this cardigan is actually sparkly. A little festive, I think. I found this dress deeply discounted on the end-of-season clearance rack last year. For only $10, I couldn’t pass it up. It’s sleeveless so it’s great for summer, but the color palette allows it to easily transition to a fall or winter piece as well.
And these tights. Let me tell you about them. First of all, I didn’t even know they existed. After I put on my dress and cardigan, I opened my tights drawer, hoping I had a pair of somewhat-coordinating tights clean. Much to my surprise, I found these navy tights. I really have no idea where they came from or how they ended up in my possession (they’re a size too big for me, I know I didn’t buy them, and I don’t recall receiving them as a gift) but I’m super glad to have them. They added a much-needed extra layer, especially since it started flurrying during the party and it was crazy windy out. I love closet surprises. :)
